The Sawrey Hotel is an ideal centre for all activities for which the Lake District is renowned. Across the Ferry from Windermere or a few miles from Hawkshead and Ambleside in the beautiful Lake District Village of Far Sawrey.

Accommodation comprises 19 bedrooms all with a private bathroom.

The Sawrey Hotel is owned and run by the family, friends to many of their returning visitors.

After a hard day's walking the fells or exploring the Lakes by car or boat, why not relax, in the lounge or on the lawn, with a book from our own bookshelves. We have a selection of board games, for all the family to enjoy and we have a DVD player in 1 of our family rooms, which we will add to as we replace our televisions.

At the Sawrey Hotel, we pride ourselves on our excellent traditional English food. We serve an optional four course dinner , with coffee, each evening, and excellent bar lunches. Dinner is served between 7-8.45pm. Non residents are very welcome and booking is strongly recommended.

Within easy reach is Near Sawrey, famous for Beatrix Potter's Home, Hill Top, Esthwaite, and Hawkshead, where William Wordsworth went to school, the Grizedale Visitor Centre and Sculptures in the forest. Windermere, The Tarns and Claife Heights, Coniston Water; Brantwood and Ruskin Museum. Ambleside and The Langdales.
